Our friends had these on a camping trip and we used these ’sticks’ to make S’mores…so easy and safe for our kids. There is a little rotating knob at the top of the handle that you can move with your thumb and it rotates the fork around in a circle to help evenly roast your marshmallow/hot dog/etc. It also telescopes so it’s super small to pack and very convenient for campfire roasting all at the same time. We used good old sticks from the woods this last time and although the S’mores turned out good, we decided we still wanted the ‘fancy’ ones and purchased these w/ no regrets.

I got this before a group camping trip and I have to say, it was the envy of all there. It stood up to the campfire very well, the dual prongs were far enough apart to cook two small items at a time, and the telescoping action is much more helpful than comparable items. Hey, you may get similar results from a stick, but you have to go find that stick, soak it, and then it still doesn’t look as sexy as having a telescoping fork!
